Stomach Ulcers: What are the Signs and Symptoms?

at-rx july 2016Stomach ulcers occur when a person’s stomach lining has been damaged. Most people will suffer mild to acute pain and doctors may confuse stomach ulcer pain for problems in the gut.

The most common reason for stomach ulcers to occur is due to acid build up affecting the damaged section of the stomach lining. Stomach acid is needed for food digestion and to protect the human body from harmful microbes. But if the surface of the stomach is harmed the acid will cause damage to the stomach.
