Autoimmune diseases have been the bane of the medical circle due to the fact that doctors and researchers cannot find a permanent and lasting cure for these diseases of which the lupus disease is a part of.

For lupus in particular, much like other autoimmune diseases, even if there is a cure, you can expect side effects to occur as well. And since the immune system begins to attack the patient’s healthy cells and tissue, this disease in more cases than not, turns into rheumatic disease in the long run.

Some of the symptoms of lupus are skin rash, extreme fatigue, kidney problems, painful or swollen joints and if you’re under the impression that this disease is contagious, you’d be mistaken as most doctors consider it to be hereditary – passed on from one generation to the other.

And whether you (or your loved one) are struggling with lupus rash or even drug-induced rash, there are ways by which you can make life easier for the both of you. Perhaps, the best way to deal with this lifelong disease is to know more about it and seek support from other people who understand how debilitating this disease and what you should do for lupus prevention.

All in all, taking this autoimmune disease seriously can change the way you are able to take care of your health, and this means change to your lifestyle for the better.
